About the Event
(Optional) Shmita-Themed Farm Tour at 6:15
Concert 7-8:30
Batya Levine, Aly Halpert, & Arielle Korman are on tour! Join three queer Jewish leaders & musicians whose songs fuel community, movement, & liberation. Offering original music by all three musicians and featuring Aly and Batya’s debut albums Loosen and Karov, this participatory concert is a chance to be together in healing, spirit, and celebration of our collective resilience. Come sing along to three-part harmonies, ground yourself in nigunim (wordless melodies), and dream about what’s possible while listening to Arielle’s soaring violin playing. However you arrive, Batya, Aly, & Arielle invite you into community, closeness, and song.
* This tour is taking place during the omer, a period of tracking time between Passover and Shavuot. During this time, some refrain from engaging with instrumental music. The trio will be talking about and honoring this tradition by doing a portion of the concert without accompaniment.
Arrive by 7pm for the concert or come early (6:15pm) to get a lovely, slow, walking tour of our shmita field which is currently filled with wildflowers and flowering cover crop. Learn about how we are exploring fallowness, taste some spring greens, and see what birds we can find. You can find out more shmita and how we are practicing it on our homepage (www.yesodfarm.org).

DIRECTIONS/PARKING: We highly reccomend carpooling due to limited parking. You will recieve parking information and directions when you purchase your ticket. The first 8-10 people to purchase tickets will be able to park on-site (a 3-5 minute walk uphill to the concert site). Once on-site parking is filled, we will ask you to park in a nearby lot, and you will be shuttled to and from the venue by a volunteer (masks on, windows down).
ACCESSIBLE PARKING: There is limited accessible parking available up by the house. Please email info@yesodfarm.org to reserve accessible parking.
ACCESS: We will be on a mowed, grassy lawn. There will be both mats and folding chairs available for seating, but feel free to bring your own chair(s) as well. There is a composting toilet and handwashing sink available. There is currently quite a bit of pollen in the air, so plan accordingly if you have allergies. While furry friends are often welcome at events, we ask that you do not bring your dog unless they are a service animal. Please reach out with any questions.
WEATHER: We do not have rain or sun protection for this event, so please check the weather and dress accordingly. Expect communication from us by 11am on the day of the event if we are canceling for rain.
